A new chapter, same spirit
After 15 years as Aster’s CFO, I’ve started end of 2025 a new chapter as General Secretary on a part-time basis. Following my family’s relocation abroad, I’ve handed over the CFO role to my long-time deputy, Chama El Shamy, transitioning from executive responsibilities to a more advisory and flexible engagement.
As a minority shareholder and member of the Strategic Committee, I remain closely connected to Aster’s long-term vision, contributing from a distance to governance and back-office initiatives.
Never far from the action
We are very entrepreneurial ourselves, which gives Aster direct experience of the issues our portfolio startups face too. Though I’m now based abroad, we often find we speak the same language.
Aster feels like home
Our vision is that many more people, be they colleagues or founders, will benefit from Aster’s caring and healthy environment. Everyone has a voice. We keep kindness in our relationships and passion in our actions. As a VC, you might think we’d be obsessed by money, but actually we focus on ambition, performance and concrete results.
I’m proud to keep contributing to a firm that values trust, entrepreneurship, and care alike.
